Keepers of Light

Handlooms to heirlooms. Butter yellow, peach, dune gingham: hues that catch the sun and keep it. The fabric remembers the slope of her shoulder, the rhythm of her stride, the way she reaches for those she loves. Over time, these pieces become her companions, and then witnesses. One day, she will fold them carefully and place them in another pair of hands. Her daughter’s, a sister’s, a friend’s, passing forward the wisdom it has gathered. This is her lineage. She is the keeper of light.
