Founded in 2019 by Vidya Sethi in Goa, India, MAIKAI is rooted in a deep love for India's rich textile heritage. Our name, inspired by the Hawaiian word Maika'i meaning "goodness," reflects our philosophy: to create with care, to honor the past, and to empower the women who wear and weave our designs. We believe clothing should feel as good as it looks—soft on the skin, kind to the earth, and deeply connected to the stories of those who make it.
