1. Product Disclaimer – The Maikai Effect

All Maikai garments are handcrafted using handwoven and/or hand-printed textiles. Due to the artisanal nature of the production process, slight variations and irregularities in weave, dye, print, or color may occur. These natural inconsistencies are not defects, but the signature of handmade craftsmanship. They are a mark of authenticity and make each Maikai piece unique and one-of-a-kind.

Our made-to-order pieces are, crafted without standard sizing tags. Each garment is tailored based on individual measurements provided by the customer at the time of purchase. Our ready to ship pieces come in two sizes petite & curve, and are across sizes as mentioned.

All garments are ethically produced under fair working conditions. We maintain a transparent production process in which our tailoring team is paid a fair, per-piece compensation, supporting their livelihood with dignity.


2. Order Cancellation, Return & Exchange Policy

2.1 Order Cancellation

All orders placed on maikaiclothing.com are final. We maintain a strict no-cancellation policy. Once an order has been placed and payment processed, it cannot be cancelled or modified under any circumstances.


2.2 Return & Exchange Eligibility

Returns and exchanges are accepted only under the following conditions:

  • The item delivered is incorrect or damaged.

  • The request for exchange is submitted within 48 hours of delivery

  • The product to be exchanged is shipped within 7 days of return acceptance.

  • The item is unused, unworn, unwashed, and undamaged.

  • All original packaging, tags, and labels are intact.

To initiate an exchange, email vidya@maikaiclothing.com with your order number and a description of the issue, along with relevant photographs. Upon approval, the customer must return the item using a trackable shipping service.

Please note:

  • MAIKAI does not offer reverse pickup.

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping charges, which are non-refundable.

  • We are not liable for any items lost or delayed in return transit.

  • Items that do not meet the above criteria will be deemed ineligible for exchange.


2.3 Incorrect Customisation or Measurement Submissions

Products made to order based on measurements or customisation details provided by the customer cannot be exchanged or returned for errors in submission. Maikai is not responsible for incorrect sizing, fit issues, or custom design specifications entered during checkout.


2.4 Refunds

We do not provide monetary refunds under any circumstances. If the requested replacement item is unavailable, customers will be issued a gift card equivalent to the original purchase amount, valid for future use on maikaiclothing.com.


2.5 Sample Sale Policy

All products purchased during sample sales, discount promotions, or clearance sales are considered final sale and are non-returnable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable.


2.6 Gift Card Orders

Items purchased using gift cards are not eligible for refund. In the case of a return request (if permitted), the corresponding gift amount will be reissued in the form of a digital gift certificate.


3. Shipping & Dispatch Policy

We operate Monday to Friday, excluding Indian national and public holidays. Tracking information is sent via email. Shipping timelines may vary per product and are mentioned on individual product pages. Once dispatched, orders cannot be modified, cancelled, or rerouted.

Shipping Partner & Liability Disclaimer

Maikai partners with third-party logistics and shipping providers. Once the parcel is handed over to the courier service, all responsibility for delivery timelines rests with the logistics partner. Maikai shall not be held liable for shipping delays, transit damage, or delivery failure resulting from actions of the third-party courier.


4. Privacy Policy

Maikai respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

  • Customer data is collected solely for processing orders, customer service, and marketing communication (only if opted-in).

  • We will never sell, rent, or share your information with third parties without consent, unless required by law.

  • We may use cookies and third-party tools (such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) to enhance website functionality, analyse traffic, and personalize user experience. By using our site, you consent to our use of cookies.

In accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you may request to access, update, or delete your personal data held by MAIKAI.

5. Legal Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution

All transactions made via maikaiclothing.com are governed by the laws of India.
Any disputes or claims arising from the use of our website, purchases made, or our policies, shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Mumbai, India.


6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maikai shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from:

  • Use or misuse of our products;

  • Delays or failures in shipping caused by third-party carriers;

  • Technical issues related to the website;

  • Errors in user-submitted customisations or measurements.
